Thank you for your interest in supporting our students, teachers, and our programs. We provide a variety of ways for you and your organization to get involved and connect with our district. We are looking for our Career Advisory Council members to play an integral role in the further development and enhancement of our district's Work-Based Learning program.

Please select any area(s) you are interested in participating: CURRICULUM SUPPORT/ PROGRAM ADVISORY BOARD: Working with our classroom instructors and students to provide academic support. Our goal is to develop 'real world' experiences that will demonstrate the relevance of our curriculum. Partners share industry knowledge to provide information on career awareness and opportunities in the workplace. GUEST SPEAKERS: Speakers are invited to share industry knowledge and expertise by providing information related to their respective fields. You could present to a single class or a group of students. FIELD TRIP/HOST SITE: As students research careers, field trips make the classroom experience come alive and offer students the opportunity to network and explore various workplace environments and expectations. Additional field trip hosts are always needed. JOB SHADOW: Allow a student or students to shadow you for a few hours or a full day to learn about a specific job, person or task, providing essential 'Real World' experience exposure. INTERNSHIP: Internships have the primary goal of providing students supervision and a chance to learn while contributing to your organization's needs. Internships can be paid, or unpaid, and can be found in corporate or private businesses, government agencies and non-profit organizations. CAREER EXPO: Participate in a district or school based career fair. MENTORSHIP: Provide your talent as a Mentor. Share your skills, knowledge, expertise, one-on-one during the school year. Help students set career goals, provide guidance for informed career decisions, act as supportive listeners, and role models. Mentoring provides professional socialization and personal support MOCK INTERVIEWS: Conduct a job interview and provide constructive feedback to help a student better their interviewing skills. FUNDING: Financial support for events & programs EQUIPMENT & RESOURCES for specific programs
