Duke Energy Mini Grant Application

This program is open to teachers, grade-level leads, Principals, Department Heads, and Learning Design Coaches.

Duke Energy is partnering with the Pasco Education Foundation to provide unique learning opportunities for students to explore energy and engineering concepts in Duke Energy service area schools. These mini-grants will be matched by the School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program to provide the greatest impact in Pasco County Schools. Grants may be up to $3,000.

Program Guidelines

All documents, receipts, and reports must be sent to the Pasco Education Foundation by May 31, 2024. Any unused funds not spent by the due date must be returned to the Foundation due to state matching grant guidelines.

Mid-year status updates will be required, along with a year-end review. Semester testing scores will be required if applicable.

Amounts awarded will vary based on program quality, funds needed, funds available, and the number of competing applications received. All equipment and materials purchased with program funds shall become the property of Pasco County Schools. If the awardee leaves the District, items purchased must stay with the location or may be passed on to another location with approval.

State Match Requirements

Allowable expenditures include: training/conferences, professional and technical services, classroom materials, computer software, computer hardware, other equipment, program supplies, travel, and printing. Non-Allowable expenditures include: administrative expenses, capital improvements, support of interscholastic athletics, refreshments, decorative items, awards, and the entertainment of dignitaries.
