Open to teachers, Principals, Department Heads, and Instructional Specialists.
Geared toward school-wide and district-wide programs with maximum impact per student.

Future Innovators Projects Guidelines

Mid-project status updates will be required, along with a year-end review. Semester testing scores will be required if applicable. Funds must be spent by April 15 to account for student data reporting.

Amounts awarded will vary based on program quality, the amount of funds needed, the availability of funds, and the number of competing applications received. All equipment and materials purchased with program funds shall become the property of Pasco County Schools. If the awardee leaves the District, items purchased must remain at the location or may be transferred to another location with prior approval.

How will your project be measured for student impact? What data sources will you use to measure outputs and outcomes? Measurable results both pre- and post- project will need to be shared with the Foundation for state reporting standards.
In addition to classroom standards, Duke Energy requires to measure:
- Percentage of participants with increased interest in energy, engineering, and technology education.
- Percentage of participants who have improved test scores in energy, engineering, and technology education.
- Percentage of teachers who implemented new energy, engineering, or technology education skills or content based on this program.
- Percentage of students who would consider energy, engineering, or technology as a career path.
